Here are some of our favorite varieties with suggested mowing heights: Warm weather grasses: Zoysia, mow at 1" to 2" Bahia grass, mow at 3" to 4" St. Augustine grass, mow at 2 1/2" to 3 1/2" Common Bermuda grass, mow at 1" to 2" Hybrid Bermuda grass, mow at 3/4" to 1" Cool weather grasses: Tall fescue, mow at 2" to 3" Kentucky bluegrass, mow at 2" to 3" Perennial ryegrass, mow at 1" to 2" (in the south let grow unmown in winter) Creeping red fescue, mow at 2" to 3"
