Bermuda grass:
Bermuda grass has a fine to medium leaf texture, is dark green, dense and low growing via rhizomes and stolons some varieties tolerate very low maintenance. Roots tend to be extensive and very deep. It is best adapted to hot, dry or tropical climates - great for homes with children and pets. Has excellent heat tolerance up to 110F, but has a winter dormancy period, turns tan to brown at temperatures below 55F. Poor cold hardiness. It is highly drought resistant, but also responds to irrigation in dry periods. Will go dormant during drought when irrigation is withheld; but upon return of moisture, will green up again swiftly. Poorly suited to shade, requires full sun for most of the day to grow properly - should not be used in a shady site. Withstands wear better than most grasses, can tolerate heavy foot traffic and when injured recovers rapidly!
